 Ken Bond
1934 - 2023

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of William Kenneth Bond, better known to friends and family as Ken. He was born in Toronto, Canada, in August, 1934, and passed away on September 15, 2023, in Oakdale, California after a short bout with lung cancer.

Ken was a beloved husband, father, and informal teacher, whose wisdom and love for education inspired his children and grandchildren. Ken is survived by his loving wife, Theresa, his son Ken and his wife Barbara, his son Jeff, and his daughter Susan Campi and her husband Glen; as well as six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

His life was marked with a desire for adventurous travel and activities. He enjoyed camping and hiking, going to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, exploring Alaska, and skiing the Sierra Nevada mountains. He was a solid education-minded person and his greatest accomplishment was watching his children and grandchildren get their degrees, which made his legacy complete. In his retirement, he enjoyed writing novellas and books, which he published on Kindle Online, under the pen name Kevin Brey.

Ken's legacy endures in the belief that you can be anything you want to be with knowledge and training. He put this belief into action when he went back to high school at age 18, completed his studies, and got his high school diploma at 20. He continued his educational pursuits at the University of Toronto and received a degree in Electrical Engineering. Then, not done with his education, he went to San Jose State University and received a Master in Business Administration (MBA) degree. He bravely showed us that it's never too late for a new beginning or to follow a dream.

May his humor, wisdom, and adventurous spirit continue to inspire those who knew and loved him. He will be sorely missed but absolutely never forgotten.
